Pledge Donation Drive at Run For Hope 2012

Runners and supporters were invited to pledge a regular donation to cancer research at Run For Hope 2012. Four Seasons group of hotels & resorts also sponsored five fabulous prizes to encourage participation.

Here’s what our pledge donors shared on why they support our cause:

It was Ms Wong’s second time at Run For Hope (RFH), with the company of her entire family and her nephew. Her nephew was a teenager when he suffered from Lymphoma a few years back. He was treated at NCCS and is now in remission

“It was very difficult seeing him go through cancer and suffering, and others who suffer from cancer. I think there is really a need to support cancer research.”.

Every one of us can play a part, in whatever way we can. I believe our efforts will go far. Maybe one day, there will be medical breakthrough in cancer research and cure for cancer. So I encourage all of you and everyone to do our part. Take part in RFH. You can pledge to Cancer research and do our part for society.”

Mr Muhammad Iskandar was a first-time runner at RFH. He joined because his brother suffered from Leukemia and benefited from the help of many cancer agencies.

Ms Halimah, whose mother passed away from cancer when she was young, completed RFH 2012 with her twin sister. Her first of many to come!

Ms Lam Poh Lin didn’t manage to sign up for RFH 2012. But she showed up at the run to support the cause & pledged a regular donation.

Ms Lam, who’s a cancer survivor, celebrates 10 years of being cancer free. We wish her many more healthy years to come!
